Programme Aim
The aim of the Bonitas Weight Management Programme is to help you get started on your weight loss journey.
Who Qualifies?
To qualify for this programme, your BMI must be over 30. The programme is available to members with the following options:
- Boncomprehensive
- BonClassic
- Standard
- Standard Select
- BonComplete
How to Get Started
During your first visit, a full health and fitness assessment will be conducted. This includes:
- Blood pressure measurement
- Waist-to-hip ratio measurement
- Lifestyle questionnaire
These assessments help prescribe the most effective exercises for you.
What to Expect
Once your assessment is completed, an individualised exercise programme will be created. The programme includes:
- Health risk assessment (1 per year)
- Three monthly one-on-one consultations with a us to track your progress
- Nine led group or individual exercise sessions
- Referral to a dietician for two consultations (initial assessment and follow-up), if necessary
- Referral to a clinical psychologist for one consultation, if necessary
Cost
The cost of the programme is covered by the Weight Management Programme benefits.

Biokineticists
Health Risk Assessment (HRA)
- Initial assessment: Problem-focused history, short problem-focused examination, and straightforward biokineticist decision-making (Treatment code: 91901, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
Reassessments (at weeks 4, 8, and 12)
- Exercise on isokinetic apparatus/isotonic/isometric resistance equipment (Treatment code: 91926, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
- Posture, gait, and activities of daily living (ADL) (Treatment code: 91927, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
- Passive and active range of motion exercise therapy (Treatment code: 91931, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
Therapy Sessions (9 sessions)
- Group exercise session (Treatment code: 91934, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
- Individual exercise (Treatment code: 07409, ICD10 code: Z50.1)
Note: Remember to take this letter with you to your biokineticist, dietician, and/or clinical psychologist on your first visit. Providers will be paid in accordance with Scheme Rules and at Scheme rates.
Guidelines for Submission of Claims: Providers must ensure that the ICD10 code Z50.1 is used when a claim is submitted, along with any one of the above codes, for it to be covered by the Weight Management Programme benefit.
